Friday, September 12, 2008 Quijada: September Series By Jadis Quijada Shout out
AS I write this, I am a sleep (er, more like, a sleepless night) away from one of my backpack trips to an Asian destination. I couldn’t have picked a better timing for my adventure, just a week after being in a state of emergency, I can’t wait to see what Thai flea market treasures my shallow pockets can afford to bring home.
INVESTMENT SALE
For those who’ve saved up for say a business or a new car. There might be something right up your alley. On-going until Sept. 15 is the exhibit of the Mitsubishi Motors spankin’ new SUV, their Montero Sport at the SM Northwing.
If you’re looking out for business packages in the market, there’s the 9th Cebu Franchise Expo happening at the SM City Tradehall until this Sunday. To guide you, a helpful franchise seminar will be held on Saturday at the Conference Hall D starting at 1:30 p.m.
Last Sunday saw the launching of the newest SME in town. SOMETHING NEW
In this beach country, slippers are a year-round love affair. On top on seeing the Havaianas being distributed in your favorite boutiques, special “Make Your Own Havaianas” dates are still looked forward to. A new pair of slippers wouldn’t hurt those heel-strapping working feet. Seize the opportunity from Sept. 19-22 at the SM Northwing.
Besides constantly providing the young, restless fashionistas with the new look, What A Girl Wants (For Her Man) likewise underwent its own facelift. The His’ and Hers’ boutique no longer has a partition and boasts of roomier changing rooms, among other things.
Another work in progress is the Parkmall which has added a bank under its wing. Banco De Oro (BDO) clients can now transact business in its newest branch. Open on weekdays, its banking hours extend until 6:30 p.m.
