Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Espina: School gets ‘physical’ By Mila C. Espina In my diary
PHYSICAL fitness through sports and intramurals makes academic learning more interesting in promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
The months of August and September are slated for these events in various schools and universities. The usual weeklong programs include cheer dancing, indoor and outdoor sports competition, and cultural and contemporary dancing to enhance mental and physical agility.
The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) was one of the earliest to celebrate with the theme, “Forging Teamwork and Camaraderie,” held in early August in honor of St.Ezekiel, the first Recoletos saint and inspiration of the sick.
The colorful photos paint the revelry of the religious and lay members of the Josenian community. Adelante!
