San Remegio Beach Club’s Marine Dive Center

PLANNING on scuba diving? The San Remigio Beach Club recently opened the doors of their Marine Dive Center.

San Remigio boasts of Cebu’s longest shore line so one can expect large coral heads which form the habitat for thousands of beautiful fish. Its underwater terrain holds six caves, a four-kilometer reef that has a wall with a 40 to 60 meter drop.

Larger organisms can also be found on these reefs, feeding on the smaller fish.

What is so unique about diving in San Remigio? Dive center manager Saar Kara, proudly says, “When you dive in Remigio, you not only get the full effect of its virgin underwater life, you are experiencing it in the most relaxed and calm environment—no jet skis and speedboats zooming around over your head!”

The amazing underwater world will take one’s breath away with the help of the San Remigio Beach Club Marine Dive Center team led by Saar Kara. They make the deep even more accessible to people with the Discover Scuba Diving promo.

The basic course is only P12,920. Discover Scuba Diving is a three to four day dive course with complimentary two-night stay at the resort. Here is what one can expect: 10 hours of academics where one can try fins and gear in the pool, learning about underwater flora and fauna and emergency procedures. Once one has mastered the feeling of being underwater, he or she is brought to the sea for the first dive at 12 meters. The next day’s dive gives one a chance to go deeper at 18 meters deep.

The Marine Dive Center is located at San Remigio Beach Club, Baybay, Tambongon, San Remigio, Cebu. For more inquiries, log on to www.sanremigiobeachclub.com.ph. (April Rama)
