Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Cebuanos earn gold in Hong Kong
THE pillars of the highly-extolled Cebu dancesport team proved that they are a force to reckon with after leading a lean team to gold medal finishes in the ICBD International Hong Kong Open in Hong Kong over the weekend.
Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) head coach Crisaldo Rendon and directress Eleanor Hayco collected two gold medals in the competition, while co-director Rica Alix and partner Renante Saldua furnished the team with one gold medal.
Rendon and Hayco topped the Teacher-Student Latin dance and later waltzed their way to the gold in the Senior D division.
Later, Saldua paired up with Engracita Zabala, where they collected two bronze medals in the teacher-student Standard 1 dance waltz and tango. (RCM)
