Monday, October 06, 2008 Siso earns ticket to Malaysia
SALLY Mae Siso earned another ticket to Malaysia as she once more asserted her dominance in her age division following another wipeout in the national finals of the 21st Milo Junior Tennis Cup yesterday at the San Beda College-Alabang tennis courts yesterday.
The tennis stalwart of the University of San Carlos, disposed all of her opponents in the Girls 14 division to claim the top spot and the right to represent the country in the Malaysian junior tennis circuit next month.
The Cebuana netter, who is on her last year in the Milo competition, first ousted Lynete Palasan of Mindanao, 6-1, 6-0 then trounced Patricia Orteza, 6-3, 6-2, before blanking Luzon’s Pailou Mojica, 6-0, 6-0.
Siso is the only player from the Visayas to make it to a Milo-sponsored Malaysian trip.
Another top bet, Fritz Satera, a Palarong Pambansa gold medal winner, was against RP team member Dheo Talatayod in his first match. (MCB)
