Thursday, October 09, 2008 Carnaza Island featured in local travel show
MAKE My Trip, produced by Lyndon Angan and Media One Creative Inc., showcases this week the explorer’s paradise called Carnaza Island off the coast of Daanbantayan, north of Cebu Province.
The show gives the audience a glimpse of the island’s magnificent rock formations and its extensive preservation program of its marine and land flora and fauna. An ideal venue for research, the island is a small town of 2,400 locals which sits along the San Bernardino straight that channels the Pacific Ocean from the east.
More than a traveler’s paradise, Carnaza is a sprouting development zone. Infrastructure such as roads are being made available around the island. Ethanol gas is used, which makes the island environmentally sound.
The island offers sailboating, trekking, kayaking, snorkeling, boating, cliff jumping and even biking. When in Carnaza Island, the show recommends Club Ed Resort, which has a set up ideal for group training, events or educational programs.
Carnaza, with its 160 hectares of unspoiled natural white sand beaches, lush forests, lakes, lagoons, caves and underwater ecosystem provides a focused and undisturbed venue that enhances learning and enjoyment.
Club Ed Resort has air-conditioned rooms with hot and cold fresh running water and modern western toilets. Fresh seafood and Asian delicacies are served while island ambassadors are on hand to help guests in their day to day activities. Special courses can also be provided upon request.
