EIS, BISM pace Isac volleyball

THE European International School (EIS) and Brent International School Manila (BISM) opened their campaign in the International Schools Athletic Conference volleyball games on a positive note at the Cebu International School yesterday.

EIS took the top spot in the Boys division as they posted a 2-0 record after defeating the BISM and host CIS.

On the other hand, Brent International School Baguio (BISB), Brent International School Subic (BISS) and Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) posted 1-0 records in the first day of competition.

British School Manila, BISM, Faith Academy Mindanao (FAM) and CIS are at the bottom of the Boys volleyball standings after failing to win a single game.

Meanwhile, BISM ruled the Girls division of the tournament with an unblemished record of 2-0 after beating SISC and CIS.

Trailing BISM was the home team CIS, who won against FAM and SISC, with a 2-1win-loss record, while BSM (1-0), BISM (1-1), SISC (1-1), BISB (0-2) and FAM (0-2) take the next five spots.

Today, the elimination round of the annual event continues at CIS.

After the volleyball season, Isac is set to hold boys football and girls basketball on Jan 28 to Feb 1 at BISS, while the girls football and boys basketball events will be on March 25 to 29 at BSM. (EKA)
