Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Seaweed processor constructs new facility for plant in Cebu
SEAWEED processing company CP Kelco Philippines recently inaugurated its new blending facility in Cebu.
In his speech as guest of honor in the inauguration, Secretary Cerge Remonde of the Presidential Project Management Staff stressed the importance of the seaweed growing and processing industry to the economy.
In the same event, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources 7 Director Andres Bojos pledge P1 million-worth of seaweed planting materials to Central Visayan Seaweed Growers Association, represented by its president Ronald Carcellar.
Bojos and Carcellar pledged to work closely with growers and suppliers to improve the quality of seaweeds. (PR)
