THE Marco Polo Plaza Cebu invites everyone to its first Corporate Fair entitled “Power Meetings and Theme Parties” from Oct.17-18, to show how its professional events team can help organize functions beyond the ordinary.
For two consecutive days it’s “open house” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cebu City’s hotel of choice with its grand ballroom and function rooms set up in various themes to offer meeting planners and organizers ideas and concepts for their next function.
For the special set-ups, the hotel’s banquet team will be working with prominent professionals as event stylists Teresin Mendezona and Ritchie Mendoza of Event Makers and Debbie Huang of Simple Wishes.
Gardens will be designed by the hotel team with the assistance of Magdalena’s. At the second floor atrium, attendees will have an opportunity to meet different suppliers who can assist in events management by providing everything from giveaways to technical equipment.
Interested attendees may also register for free seminars to be given by three of Manila’s top experts in their field. Beauty and wellness authority, celebrity TV host, columnist and author, Cory Quirino will discusss “Stress Management” for busy executives, in “An Afternoon with Cory Quirino” on Oct.17, at 4 pm. Attendees can also enjoy shoulder massage by the Marco Polo Plaza Wellness Zone spa therapists followed by a cocktail tour of the various theme set-ups.
On Oct.18, at 10 am, Quirino will share tips on how to be “Forever Young,” while the country’s top special events planner, Rita Neri, will give an informative talk on “Putting a Wow Factor into Your Events.”
At 2 p.m., a personality development workshop for young professionals and meeting planners entitled “Image Enhancement” will be handled by one of Manila’s top image consultants, Lia Sevilla Bernardo, who will talk about enhancing personal style and professional image, wardrobe planning, hair and make-up tips, poise and skin care for men and women.
