Capitol ends 2008 sportsfest

BARANGAY Capitol Site concluded its sports activity recently with an Awarding Ceremony held at the Capitol Site Sports Complex.

The Barangay Capitol Site SK Sportsfest 2008, was participated by players in the 18-year-old and under division from the 18 different sitios under the area of the Bry. Capitol Site.

The 18 sitios which participated in the activity were Ponce Lower and Upper, Lomboy, Mahayahay, Upper Panaghiusa, Lower Panaghiusa, Sacred Heart Hills, Camia, Santo Niño, Ubraa, Warambda, Sampaguita, Riverside, San Roque, Sta. Cruz, Bas, Lubi, Ipil-ipil and Ma. Cristina.

After competing against each other, Sacred Heart Hills, Sampaguita, Lower Panaghiusa and San Roque made it to the Magic Four.

San Roque defeated Sampaguita in their fight for the third place, while Sacred Heart Hills crushed Lower Panaghiusa in a closely-contested championship game.

During the awarding ceremony, honored guest Cong. Raul del Mar, together with Brgy. Captain Erwin Guanzon presented the trophy for the third placer to San Roque, the trophy for the second placer to Lower Panaghiusa and the trophy for the champion to Sacred Heart Hills.

Individual awards were also given to those who made it to the Mythical Five. (PR)
