Tuesday, October 21, 2008 DGL breezes through Bacolod Quick 8
NO WARM body yet can beat David G. Lim (DGL) at the race track.
The ace Cebuano driver added yet another trophy to his victory shelves after ruling the Quick 8 title in the Palumba sa Maskara 2008 in Bacolod City last Oct. 11 and 12.
Lim’s Mitsubishi Evolution 9.5 recorded the fastest time in the track at 10.03 seconds to win the prestigious Quick 8 title in the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) race.
Aside from winning another title, DGL set a new record for the fastest kiloment per hour (kph), which was recorded at 244.23kph.
The race was participated by top drivers from the country, also had Mato Tan winning a Quick 8 title.
Close to a hundred racers from Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Bacolod came to take part in this event.
Meanwhile, other winners includes Elban Jay of Davao and 1st runner up Michael Lim of Bacolod winning the Class A title.
While another youthful Cebuano racer Peterson Lim of Team Hilton-K1 won the Class title and Dino Tormis, also of Cebu, won the runner-up seat.
Jim Michael Tan of Iloilo won the Class C trophy and 1st runner-up Jed Yulo of Bacolod while Class D Napoleon Ricamora of Cebu took the title, while Richard Weber of Bacolod finished runner-up. (RCM)
