AVGCC hosts Jungof Challenge
ALTA Vista Golf and Country Club’s Junior Golf Program will host one of the country’s biggest junior golf events in 2008—the Alta Vista Junior Golf Challenge starting today until Oct. 30.
Junior golf teams from all over the country will vie for the coveted Perpetual Cup for the Club of the Year Competition, team competition and individual honors in the Special Division (18 to 21) and Class A (15 to 17), Class B (13 to 14), Class C (11 to 12), Class D (9 to 10) and Class E (6 to 8) brackets.
The three-day Junior Golf Challenge will also include individual challenges like the Putting, Pitching and Bunker Competitions.
All participating junior golfers will enjoy Alta Vista‘s picturesque fairways, great views of Cebu City, treats and surprises at the welcome cocktails and awarding ceremonies.
The sponsors of the event are the Alta Vista Junior Golf Challenge are Julies’ Franchise Corp., Jungolf Foundation of the Philippines, Philippine Airlines ,Restoserve Marketing, Limgtong Press, Selecta Walls, Asia Pacific Marketing, Matahari Trading, Red Golf, Parklane International Hotel, Suarez Sterling, Campaigns Cebu and Coca-Cola.
Schools
Over 100 jungolfers from all over the country are expected to play including teams from Alabang Golf and Country Club, Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club, Cebu Country Club, Valley Golf, Southwooods Golf and Country Club, Del Monte Golf and Country Club, Mactan Golf Club, Buffalo Golf Course, Camp Lapu-Lapu, the Junior Golf League and the Jungolf Foundation in Manila.
Organizers are also looking forward to the participation of players from various schools as well as other clubs in Manila, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo and Iligan.
