ABOITIZLAND Inc. has completed the installation of an optimum-capacity water supply system to serve the Kishanta village development in Talisay City.
The system, said Aboitiz-land construction management manager Perla Bataluna, is an advanced and highly reliable system design made up of a high-capacity cistern, corresponding water tanks and powerful booster pumps.
The cistern can hold as much as 240 cubic meters. Powerful booster pumps transfer water to elevated tanks for distribution to pipes serving the homes within the 14-hectare community. The tanks can contain as much as 284 cubic meters of water.
“We have what we call a redundant water supply system,” Bataluna said. “In the event that the local water district’s supply is interrupted, AboitizLand will draw water from a well to supply the needs of our vecinos (Spanish for homeowners) at Kishanta,” she added.
The back-up well is integrated into Kishanta’s design in anticipation of any incident that may cause failure of regular sources to supply water to the community. Water sourced from the back-up well is guaranteed safe by the installation of a chlorinator.
“The installation of highly reliable utility lines is a primary consideration in our projects,” explained Bataluna, “as this is invariably tied to our vecinos’ level of satisfaction with the homes that they make in the Aboitiz-land communities. We want them to live in our villages, free from the hassles of inadequate water supply obscuring what would be a blissful real estate experience.”
The water supply system installed in Kishanta serves to elevate the Kishanta experience even further. (PR)
