Saturday, November 08, 2008 Go: A platinum evening By Charlene go Lakwatsa
SOME may say that food is the world’s common “language,” and though there are times that we may not understand it, we always find it quite interesting.
Food or dining is one of the most effective ways of communication simply because we all love to eat! And that is something that Nokia and Globe Platinum have been successful at not only for bringing excellent communication in our daily lifestyle but also for hosting the most exquisite and lavish dinners for their clientele.
A sumptuous kaiseki dinner was prepared by chef Ken Imamura at Mizu at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
For those unfamiliar with the term, it is an extravagant yet delicate multi-course traditional Japanese meal usually served at banquets.
Indeed it was extravagant with a superb medley of sashimi, Kobe beef cooked to perfection and scallops resting on stones warmed by a bed of salt that’s set on fire. With such beautiful and delectable creations, it was not only a feast for one’s palates but certainly also a spectacular exhibit for the eyes.
To top it all off, a raffle was held for the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66—the company’s latest business phones for busy individuals who require reliable real-time access to their e-mails and tasks, and yet still be able to enjoy other features such as media, maps, and music.
