Saturday, November 08, 2008 DTCC Dancesport eye emphatic finish
DANCESPORT Team Cebu City is looking to make another emphatic finish to a successful year as the 120-strong delegation open its campaign in the 12th Dancesport Council of the Philippines Inc. (DCSPI) National Championships today at the Philsports Arena.
DTCC has always been a major force in the national dancesport circuit and collected a historic 25 of 27 gold medals in the mid-year ranking last July here in Cebu.
Despite the huge burden of coming home with the national crown resting on their shoulders, DTCC founder Ed Hayco is taking it in stride as winning the golds will just be a cherry on top of a fruitful year. Aside from the mid-year rankings triumph, DTCC staged a successful year-round barangay workshop and year-round barangay competitions.
“We may not be able to duplicate the historic 25 out of 27 golds last July because we were more focused on our projects rather than the practices but I know that we can still claim a modest domination of the national championships,” said Hayco. (MCB)
