ONE of the Philippines’ most glamorous singers returns to Cebu for a limited engagement.
Janet Basco will be in Marco Polo Plaza Cebu on Nov. 28. Janet’s career spans more than 25 years. She’s the lady who made the song You Made Me Live Again famous.
Aside from Australia, Janet has also performed in other places, like in Japan, the U.S.A., Norway, France, Italy, and Egypt.
One of Janet’s milestones was being one of the few Filipino entertainers to have ever performed in the famous Carnegie Hall in New York (along with Jose Mari Chan) to rave review and ovations.
Her recent concert, “Hearts in Season,” was a terrific team-up with two of the Philippines’ most formidable singers, Ivy Violan and Dulce.
What makes Janet so special is her natural ability to sing most styles of music with such aplomb. Though she is most adept in standards and Broadway, Janet can easily sing jazz, pop, ballads, rock, disco, and more.
“I even rapped once,” Janet muses. The one thing you can be sure of is that a Janet Basco performance means enjoying a performer that always gives 100 percent every time with every song.
