Tuesday, November 25, 2008 Flores scores 2 wins in Carcar Motocross
YOUTHFUL daredevil John Flores is back on track as he scored back-to-back wins in the final leg of the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series – the 2nd Carcar City Motocross Mayor’s Challenge at the Ramon’s Recreational and Multi-Purpose Center last Sunday.
Riding on his new 250cc racing bike, Flores, who crashed out of contention on the 12th leg in Consolacion last Oct. 26, won the Beginner’s Open Production against older foes that include Ayen Ledesma and Ryan Querol who finished second and third, respectively.
The 15-year-old Flores then scored his second win by topping the Novice Open Production, finishing ahead of Rey Barbaso and Keith Galaura.
Meanwhile, Jon-Jon Adlawan fortified his bid to win the Expert Open Division after beating the country’s top motocross rider Glenn Aguilar at the finish line.
The hotly-contested Expert class also had Erwin Uypitching winning third place.
Aguilar meanwhile, reclaimed the glory in the Pro Open division.
After Adlawan snapped his winning streak in the Tabogon race, Aguilar was back to the top place with Adlawan placing second and Uypitching at third place. (RCM)
