Shangri-La bares local resident’s package

From now until Dec. 24, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa (SLMRS), Cebu is offering a local resident’s package to help guests enjoy the festive season with their families.

Accommodation for locals begins at P6,500 per night in a superior gardenview room on a double occupancy basis with daily buffet breakfast at Tides.

Families traveling with children will enjoy the resort’s Adventure Zone. A multi-storey playground, children can swing, slide, climb and crawl through colorful padded columns, walls and floor and a 180‑degree vertical drop slide, all under the supervision of well-trained staff. Children are reminded to wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants to be allowed entry to the Adventure Zone. For younger children below the age of three, there is the adjacent Toddler’s Zone with arts and craft activities using child-safe toys and items.

The resort also offers a line-up of recreational facilities like two swimming pools, a six-hole putting range, a plexi-pave tennis court, a gym featuring modern exercise equipment, a salon, a sauna and a steam room. Water enthusiasts will look forward to activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, fish feeding, parasailing, windsurfing, glass-bottom boat rides and island hopping trips to nearby islands. Meanwhile, beach buffs can get a dose of the sun, the breeze and the clear, cool waters of the exclusive private beach cove, which has a bar, tents and a volleyball court.

The promotional offer is valid for Philippine residents only. Proof of residency or working permit is required for expatriates upon check-in. Rate is subject to 10 per cent service charge and applicable government taxes. Advanced reservation is recommended. Children aged 11 years and below receive complimentary meals when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Moreover, guests receive a complimentary upgrade to the next room category, subject to availability on check-in.
