Wednesday, January 14, 2009 SM Supermalls to launch the ‘green bag’
AS part of SM Supermalls’ commitment in supporting environmental programs and environmental sustainability initiatives, SM will launch a reusable shopping bag made of fabric–the SM Supermalls Green Bag on Jan. 16 in SM Supermalls.
The Green Bag is a hard wearing non woven fabric bag made of 100-percent polypropylene, and may last up to two years of weekly use. Polypropylene is recyclable, non-toxic, allergy-free and non-reactive to human skin.
The Green Bag features four exclusive designs of renowned painter Manuel Baldemor. Baldemor is a painter, sculptor, printmaker, writer, and book illustrator. He has also contributed more than 24 designs for reproduction on UNICEF’s Christmas greeting cards for 18 years.
The launching of the bag will be at the main atrium of the Mall of Asia together with TV hosts Paolo Bediones and Suzie Entrata.
Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi with their wins are the celebrity endorsers of the Green Bag.
In SM City Cebu, the Green Bag is availabe at the upper ground floor of the main mall near The Body Shop.
Collecting the Green Bag is so easy. For every P500 single or accumulated receipt purchased at any SM City Cebu tenants, a customer may avail himself or herself of one SM Supermalls Limited Edition Baldemor-Designed Green Bag for only P35.
SM Advantage Card holders will be given two extra reward points everytime they use the Green Bag for groceries at SM Supermarket.
