Court hears 3rd motion of Ampatuan to travel By Ben O. Tesiorna
THE Regional Trial Court Branch 33 will hear Friday morning the motion to travel by murder suspect Mohammad Bahnarin Ampatuan.
Judge Wenceslao Ibabao will hear the third motion to travel by Ampatuan, 19, for him to be allowed to travel to his hometown in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao to spend the holiday season there.
He also asked the court to allow him to report in court today instead of December 15 as mandated by the court order upon granting him P500,000 bail last November 4.
Ampatuan promised to return to Davao City before January 15 next year.
This is the third time that the murder suspect requested the court for a travel permit.
First was last November 5, a day after he posted bail, which was granted.
The court, however, did not grant Ampatuan's second request to travel for lack of merit. And now comes the third request. BOT
