6 divisions in Leon Garcia caddies golf
SIX divisions are entered in the 33rd Don Leon Garcia Memorial Inter-Club Caddies Golf Tournament that kicks off December 16 at the Davao City Golf Club.
These are the professionals, seniors 55-above, 18-above, 13-17, 9-12 and umbrella girls categories.
Grocery items are at stake for the top five players of each category in the golffest sponsored by the heirs of the late Davao City mayor lawyer Leon Garcia Sr.
It is jointly backed by Patria Montemayor, Magdalena Piñeda, former Davao City second district representative Manuel Garcia, Amado Garcia, Antonio Garcia, Milagros del Rosario, and Arthur Garcia.
Side events include an open singing contest, Asereje dance contest for children 10 years old and younger, and a beauty contest among female workers of the Apo Golf and Country Club, Davao City Golf Club, Lanang Golf and Country Club and Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.
A total cash prize of P21,800 is at stake in the side events of the longest running golf tournament in the Visayas and Mindanao.
