PSC all set for 2003 By Rico Jhone Biliran
THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) as early as now has already started preparations for its grassroots program to develop sports and for the upcoming national events this year, including the BIMP-Eaga Games as well as the National Friendship Games in Cebu.
The Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philipines-East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-Eaga) Games is slated for the second week of January.
The three-leg National Friendship Games will be held in Cebu involving delegations from Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
Pangasinan will play host to the Luzon leg while the Visayas leg will be held in Iloilo City and Mati, Davao Oriental will host the third edition of the Mindanao Friendship Games on October. The first two editions were held in Lanao del Norteand Cagayan De Oro City, respectively.
The PSC grassroots program under Commissioner Leon Gonzalo Montemayor of
Davao has also prepared for a series of TOP-Start (Train the Trainors) seminar for this year.
The series of Top Start seminars will be held in the Autonomous Region for
Muslim Mindanao (Armm), Caraga Region, South Cotabato, Zamboanga City and
Davao City. RJB
