Bodyuilding in Gensan

BETS from Davao City are the picked the favorites in the 1st Mindanao Red Bull Open Bodybuilding Competition which gets underway today at the Gaisano Mall in General Santos City.

Mr. Davao 2003 Arnold Quejada heads Davao's bid for honors in the one-day bodybuilding contest which gives cash prizes to the top 10 placers.

Gen. Santos City Mayor Pedro Acharon and Philippine Bodybuilding Association vice-president for Mindanao Ben Sur are gracing the event.

A pre-judging is set at 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a motorcade around the city's main streets. Competition starts at at 2 p.m.

The champion will receive P10, 000, while the runner-up will get P3, 000. The third to sixth placers will get P2, 000, P1, 800, P1, 700, P1, 500 respectively.

The seventh and eight placers will each settle for P300 while P200 for the ninth and 10th finishers.

The event is organized by the Tuna City Fitness Club in coordination with the Mindanao Bodybuilding Association and Davao Bodybuilding Asscociation. MLS
