Man shoots wife, mom-in-law dead
By Rex C. Otero

AUTHORITIES are hunting for an elderly man who shot his wife and his mother-in-law dead in their residence in Sitio Tacub, Barangay Zone 1, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur Saturday.

The suspect was identified as Aliacer Hasan, alyas Tating, a resident of Sitio Tacub.

According to Sta. Cruz police, a heated argument between Aliacer and his wife Lea, 23, occurred around 10:25 a.m. Lea's mother, one Dominga Lavisores, 44, tried to pacify the couple.

The suspect got his .357 revolver and shot both women in the head, killing them instantly.

The suspect also shot at his wife's niece, Analie Pizon, 19, who sustained a gunshot wound in the knee and is recuperating at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital in Digos City.

The police recovered the gun Aliacer used, along with five empty shells and one live bullet but the suspect had already fled the scene of the crime.

Police believe that jealousy was the cause of the couple's fight. Aliacer allegedly suspected his wife of having an affair with another man, which enraged him.

Authorities have filed of parricide charges against Aliacer who remains at large.
