Eden Nature Park hosts mountain biking race

EDEN Nature Park and Resort and Davao All-Terrain Bikers Association (Datba) in cooperation with the Department of Tourism (DOT) 11, Federation of Off-Road Cycling Enthusiasts (Force) and Truscon will host the Conquer Eden: 3rd Mountain Bike Challenge on April 26 to 27 at Eden, Toril, Davao City.

This annual competition is an accredited event of the DOT's calendar of activities. With Eden Nature Park's rugged terrain and mountain trails, this expansive mountain resort is acclaimed as a favorable destination for various adventure and outdoor events.

The mountain cycling contest is divided into two categories: Cross Country Circuit (XC-CC) and Dual Slalom (DS).

The XC-CC category is classified into seven divisions, namely Open Expert, Senior Sport (for ages 19-29 years old), Veterans Sport (for ages 30-39 years old), Master Sport (for ages 40 years old and above), Junior Expert (for ages 18 years old and below), Fun Ryder and Team Class. While the DS is classified into two divisions: Open Expert and Sport Class.

For interested parties, registration fee for individual participants is only P300 per event and P500 for XC and DS competitions. Team registration is only P2,000 for a group of five consisting of one open expert, two senior sport and two veterans or masters with club certification or company certification.

Deadline for submission of registration is on April 25.
