Maharlika loses; Dover in 1st win
AS IF waking up from a bad dream of its past two losses, Dover Tailoring finally unleashed firepower to tame the Coca-Cola Tigers Thursday, 90-77, in the Proball Montaña Cup at the Davao Chinese High School.
Jec-Jec Yian sizzled with game-high 34 points, while teammate Gary Canilao added 18 markers for Dover.
In an earlier game, Villaroya Farms downed Maharlika Agro-Marine, 88-81, with the help of four players scoring in double digits.
Hart Rabaya and Rene Real sank 16 points each, while Polangcos had 15. Delio Catre added 13.
It was the first setback for Maharlika after winning its first two outings. Action resumes today with RJ Homes facing Montaña-BC 2000 in the first game at 6 p.m. In the second game, Emcor Inc. takes on Davao Ching Printers at 7:30 p.m.
