UP-Min grabs women's title

THE University of the Philippines (UP)-Mindanao emerged champion in the table tennis collegiate women's team event of the 2003 Dacs Sportsfest at the Holy Cross of Davao College Sunday.

UP was bannered by Glory Rose Dy, Mary Margaret Sulapas, Ma. Luche Lamela and Jasmin Caņo.

The Ateneo de Davao University team of Karlynn Ladesma, Ma. Cariza Caņete, Minette Castillo and Shirluv Amoguis settled for the runner-up honors.

In third place was the Philippine Women's College represented by Elyn Rose Catapang and Kathleen Agonia.

The men's team competition will resume on Saturday and Sunday in the same venue.

The meet was officiated by the Metro Davao Table Tennis Association and sanctioned by the Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (Tatap) Region 11.

The annual sportsfest is organized by the Davao Association of Catholic Schools. MLS
