THE Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and Grace Baptist Church (GBC) finally entered the winning column in the ICBL Cup 2003 ninth conference at the Ayala Gymnasium Sunday.

SDA stunned New Life Assembly of God (NLAG) 69-66 as Edward Nuņez and Ramil scored identical 15 points each, while Rephson Gonzales sank 20 markers for a losing cause.

SDA totes a 1-1, win-loss record to share third spot in bracket A with Grace Baptist Church (GBC) while NLAG holds a 2-1 card for second spot.

GBC pulled off a 77-71 victory against Word International Ministries (WIM)-A in the cagefest organized by the Inter-Church Basketball League and sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Region 11.

Ateneo de Davao University juniors player Carlo Legaspi canned 16 points for GBC as WIM-A leaned on the heroics of Jay Manlangit who made 17.

WIM-A is at the cellar of the team standing with a 0-2 slate.

The Jesus Reigns Christian Fellowship leads with a clean 3-0 record.

In bracket B, DIBC is on top with 2-0 followed by Holy Ground Family Fellowship and Conservative Association of the Philippines (CBAP) that hold a 1-0 card apiece.

His Shelter Ministries has 1-1 and WIM-B with 0-2. Games will resume on Saturday.
