Zamboanga Hermosa foodfest at Waterfront By Jojie Alcantara
WATERFRONT Insular Hotel Davao brings Zamboanga Hermosa Food Festival at Café‚ Uno. This is its second successful launch in the city.
Hermosa, meaning beautiful, is what exactly describes the buffet table and carving filled with the most delicious seafood imaginable brought fresh from Zamboanga City.
It has tempting appetizers - Achara de bonga; Ensalada dela Mar (Seafood marinated in vinegar and spices); Kilawin de Camias (Marinated Camias Fruit).
Its main seafood dishes whet the palate: Imbao en la Horno con Mantiquilla y Limon; Locon con Salsa de Alavar; Gata de Nangka con Pescao Seco Y Achuetes; Blue Marlin ala Pobre and many more.
It specialty, of course, is the famous Curacha con Salsa de Alavar. The delicious Alavar sauce is a must have at home.
The three famous chefs from Zamboanga, who own the famous Alavar Seafood Restaurant, are Mrs. Corazon Alavar-Nogra, Mrs. Aurora Alavar-Payao, and Ms. Catherine Alavar-Nogra.
