Another Chinoy trader kidnapped in Cotabato

ANOTHER Chinese-Filipino entrepreneur was abducted by suspected members of the Pentagon kidnap-for-ransom group in Cotabato City Monday morning.

The victim was identified as one Norman Sia, single and a nephew of the owner of the People's Parts and Hardware in Cotabato City.

Senior Supt. Ajijul Taradji, Cotabato City police chief, said the victim was having a business deal Monday when two unidentified armed men forcibly abducted him.

The victim's vehicle was later recovered in Tacurong City Tuesday morning fronting Fitmart Department Store along the national highway.

The suspects were believed to be members of the Pentagon kidnap-for-ransom group as they were last seen going towards the province of Maguindanao, a known lair of the kidnap group.

As of Tuesday, Sia's family had yet to receive any ransom demands from the kidnappers. Authorities are now conducting hot pursuit operations against the suspects. BOT
