Kiss for a record By Ana Felicia Dulay
CLOSE UP'S Lovapalooza Countdown Party-Kiss for the Record at the Courtyard of Matina Town Square on the eve of Valentine's Day was a sight to behold.
The fact that it was an attempt to break the Guinness world record for the most number of couples kissing in public.
Across the country, couples converged at strategic places and kissed 10 seconds before 12 midnight struck.
The Valentine's affair, sponsored by Unilever, was the biggest party in town with free drinks, local band One Shot Groove and witnessed the first Valentine
countdown ever!
Highlights of the evening was the kissing contest where a couple was made to chew on one long string of candy, the girl and guy on opposite sides.
The couple had to eat up right down to the middle, ending it with a passionate lip-to-lip kiss. Though at first hesitant to go up on stage, three couples joined the contest at Impit Purok.
Shedding off inhibitions as the crowd encouraged them on, the couples gamely chomped on the long string of candy, much to the delight of the love-struck audience.
