Prodigal daughter's successful return

IT IS reported that Angelika de la Cruz returned to ABS-CBN because she felt bad at GMA-7's giving more importance to Jolina Magdangal.
"No, that's not true at all," she reacted. "Even before my last soap with GMA ended, 'Habang Kapiling Ka,' I already got an offer from ABS-CBN to join their 'Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas.'
She said her initial reaction was disbelief. She waited for her contract with GMA to expire before approaching ABS-CBN.
She plays a kikay girl named Marianne in "Sana". "I fell in love with it right away. Kasi comedy ito na babaeng-baklang bungangera ako."
She had done two soap operas with GMA. "I did heavy dramas that trained me to cry at will. But I wanted to try something different so I talked to the GMA bosses at nagpaalam ako sa kanila nang maayos, kaya we're in good terms up to now," she said.
When she moved to ABS, their Talent Center also offered to manage her. She agreed because "my dad used to manage me and we're always fighting because of my schedules."
She is to cut her first album with Star Records soon.
She is actually not on friendly terms with Kristine Hermosa, the other leading lady of Jericho Rosales in "Sana".
"We're not the best of friends but we're okay. We have not shot a single scene together in 'Sana,' but in 'ASAP' we see each other sa dressing room at wala namang problema,"
On ex-boyfriend Jericho, she said: "Noong una, medyo ilang because it's been five years since we last worked together in the movie 'Magandang Hatinggabi.' But in no time at all, okay na kami uli and we're now very comfortable with each other. He's nice to me but they say may Cindy Kurleto na siya, 'di ba?"
Her last boyfriend, Victor Neri, is now with Aiko Melendez. "Victor is a closed book for me and we parted as friends, so I'm happy for them. Ate Aiko nga even texted me to say thank you for all the nice things I said about her in another interview. Sana magtagal sila."
