DC riders ready for bike fest
DAVAO City's Southeast Asian (SEA) Games veteran Ruel Casaljay joins his teammates Tuesday in preparation for their stint in the Smart MTB Tour on Thursday and Friday in Cebu City.
Casaljay, in a text message yesterday, said he was still in Bukidnon and will join Hilario Ladra, Glenn Yap and Nitzel Montebon today (Wednesday) in Cebu.
Ladra, on his part, said: "We are ready for the competition."
The four-member team bikathon will award P100,000 to the champion while the second and third placers will receive P50,000 and P30,000, respectively.
All four riders reaped honors in the 3rd Mindanao Games in Mati, Davao Oriental where Casaljay and Montebon clinched three gold medals each while Ladra had one gold and Yap with a bronze. MLS
