Dads to draft legislative agenda in gab

MEMBERS of the City Council will attend a two-day seminar starting today draft a legislative agenda, which will serve as their tool in passing legislative measures for the whole three-year term ahead of them.

Vice Mayor Luis Bonguyan, along with 26 councilors will leave Davao City today for a two day planning workshop at the Pearl Farm beach resort.

"We're planning to come up a legislative agenda in accordance with the plans and programs of the mayor," Bonguyan said.

In fact, Bonguyan said they have invited other department heads to brief them on the major projects that the Mayor Rodrigo Duterte wants to implement and finish before his term ends.

Invited are the head of the Department of Interior and Local Government Davao City who will facilitate the activity, City Planning and Development Office chief Louie Jacinto who is tasked to present Mayor Rodrigo Duterte's plans and programs mentioned during his inaugural speech, and City Administrator Wendel Avisado who will lay down Duterte's projects that needs legislative authority.

"We hope to come up a comprehensive legislative agenda that we can be able to implement within our term," Bonguyan said.

Bonguyan said whatever output they will have will be presented to the mayor on the second day.

Bonguyan, however, assured that whatever output they will have are not made just to please Duterte.
