THE Davao Ching Printers bounced back from a heartbreaking defeat the previous game to crush JRCF Thursday in the 1st Playsite Basketball Tournament at the BMQ Playsite Recreation Center in Maa.
The Printmasters hit the century mark for a 100-73 triumph and more importantly erased the stigma of their 75-81 loss at the hands of St. Franselle.
Four Printmasters hit in double figures, with Jeck Yian leading the scoring parade with 24 points. Carlo Paquera added 14 points while Karl Bagohin and Nilo Temporal chipped in 10 each.
With the victory, Ching boosted its bid for a seat in the quarterfinals. The Printmasters improved to 2-1 to occupy second spot in Bracket B behind St. Franselle and Goldstar, which both had 2-0 slates.
Garcia led JRCF with 20 points.
In another game, Salonga Motors routed Buyers, 90-74, for their second victory in three outings.
Nomer Junsay and Amsid topscored for Salonga with 11 points apiece. Neil Abracia paced the losers with 25 and Ivan Lo had 11.
The tourney resumes tonight with two games on scheduled. St. Franselle shoots for its third win against Pepsi in the first game at 7 p.m. and NTD United Ballers play Amados in the second setto at 8:15 p.m.
