Camay cops bike title in Kidapawan
DASURECO rider Almer Camay clinched the open expert title in the just-concluded 2004 Kuta Bato Mountain Bike Challenge in an out-and-back course from Kidapawan City.
Camay bested teammate Judy Tinagan and Kimba bet Jay Ian Leduna in the event supported by the Federation of Off-Road Cycling Enthusiasts (Force).
Kimba's Ramel Ablanida topped the sports category as Jojo Genosalao of Dasureco and Dominador Garcia of Matba trailed for second and third place, respectively.
The veteran title went to Kimba's Alberto Alfeche while Annel Balasabas of Morba was second and Kobra's Joville Leble came third.
In the masters event, Kimba cyclist Pedro Ablanida captured the crown followed by Dorba's Eusebio Candia and Leo Mondejas of Bansalan.
Cash prizes and trophies were awarded to the winners in the race presented by the provincial government of Cotabato. (MLS)
