Teenccclub model search also open to foreigners
TEENCCCLUB 2004 is not only for Filipino teens, but also for foreigners living in Davao and nearby provinces. "Foreigners can join the contest as long as they pass the basic requirements," Rochelle Confesor, project head for Teenccclub Model Search Year 3, said in a recent press conference.
Confesor said the inclusion of foreigners should not discourage the local youngsters from joining.
"In fact, they (Filipino teens) should see it as a challenge to strive harder," Confesor said. There were foreign teens who made it to the finals of the previous Teenccclub model competitions "but our local models won," she recalled.
Confesor said they accept those who are not currently enrolled in school. "It's better than being a couch potato at home. This is a challenge that can make their parents proud and if they get lucky, will earn them not only money but also prestige," she mused.
To join, applicants must be at least 15-19 years old, smart, fashionable, good looking, and single. The height requirement is 5'2" for girls and 5'6" for boys.
Other requirements include a photocopy of authenticated birth certificate, two recent 3R photos (one close-up, one full-body shot taken at the New Jersy Studio, NCCC Mall Davao branch), certificate of good moral character, and written parental consent for applicants under 18 years old. Foreign applicants must submit a work permit.
A minimum purchase of only P200 worth of items at the NCCC Department Store is needed to join. NCCC Department Store's Customer Service Center is currently accepting applications. Registration period runs until October 7.
The pre-screening is set on October 9 to select the Top 24 -- 12 males and 12 females - who will compete in the Grand Finals next month.
Aside from whopping cash prizes, the winners will receive special awards and countless opportunities to appear in NCCC's posters, print ads, fashion shows, and other events.
All finalists will receive valuable gift items from NCCC Department Store.
