Billiards tilt gets underway

A TOTAL of 60 players will knock each other out as the first batch of 1st 9-ball Inter-Collegiate Championships elimination round unfolds at the Antoy Billiards Hall in Paseo de Roxas today.

Project director Joseph Encabo of organizing Top Sports Advantage Inc. (TSAI) said the entries are all ready for the action.

"Participating schools include the Ateneo de Davao University, University of Mindanao, Holy Child School of Davao College, Brokenshire College, Davao Doctors College, San Pedro College, Philippine Women's College and Rizal Memorial Colleges, among others," Encabo said in a recent phone interview with Sun.Star Davao.

He said some schools fielded the maximum of 10 players while others have lesser number of entries. The top eight players in the first batch will play against the top eight players of the second batch in the quarter-finals.
