DEPARTMENT of Labor and Employment (Dole) regional director Ma. Gloria A. Tango said a Rural Workers Organization (RWO) Market Encounter is now being conducted, starting October 4 until December 28, at the Dole regional office on Bangoy Street, Davao City to promote self-employment opportunities.
The three-month RWO market encounter provides a venue to improve delivery and distribution of various products made by the rural workers organization as accredited co-partners of DOLE Integrated Livelihood program.
This will also provide opportunities for rural workers organization to discover and meet new market players in the field and enhance the quality of products produced by the rural workers organization.
Co-partners in this activity are also expected to foster strong and harmonious relationship among themselves including those stakeholders coming from the non-government organizations and other national agencies involved in the promotion of self-employment and enterprise development.
Media practitioners are invited to cover the activity to inform the public on the relevance of being self-reliant and the importance of the RWO market encounter to be able to create self-employment and strengthened workers organization.
