Ateneolympics set Saturday

THE Ateneolympics will get underway on Saturday at the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) Matina sports complex.

Athletic coordinator Pochollo Elegino, guesting in Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn, said 10 teams will vie for honors in various events.

"Games in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, chess and darts will be played every Saturday until December 10 which will mark as the awarding ceremonies," Elegino said.

He said the sporstfest aims to forge unity in the Ateneo community.

Meanwhile, the Ateneo University President's Cup Inter-Alumni Basketball Tournament will kick off on October 17 at the Ateneo Jacinto Gym in an effort to once again open the university's doors to its alumni. (MLS)
