High-powered arms, ammo seized from farm guards

NINE high-powered firearms of different calibers and ammunition were seized by a joint police operation from six security guards of the Darmupco banana plantation while on their post in Alejal, Carmen, Davao del Norte Wednesday last week.

In an interview Friday at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) 11 office, Supt. Elmer D. Doyo of the Davao del Norte CIDG said the inspection was conducted at around 2:30 p.m. after a civilian agent informed them of the security guards' possession of unlicensed high-powered firearms.
