Wet & Wild Oktoberfest at la Pearl Farm Beach Resort By Marissa S. Te Eng Fo
AS THE guests were ferried from the Waterfront Insular Hotel jetty to Pearl Farm Beach Resort (PFBR), one can just feel the happy atmosphere that abounded.
It was time to rock and roll..PAAAARTY time! Beauties and good-looking men in beach wear! Some came in sarong, some in shorts, some in two-piece swimwear!
What a sight! Boooze and more booze were in everyone's mind.
As the bevy of beautiful people finally arrived, a warm welcome pervaded with the smell of the grill now cooking those yummy barbecues. For the comfort food eaters, there was pizza for all from famous Pizza Hut, sandwiches for the tummy's quick fix, sinful desserts and for the health buffs, fresh tropical fruits. But let's not forget those sausages from Swiss Deli.
In Germany, where Oktoberfest is quite popular, serving German or Bavarian beer and paying homage to the fall when leaves start to change, it is not complete without the sausages and Pearl Farm Beach Resort does it in style.
As the band started playing, there was an overflowing service of honeymansi ice tea brought in by the very active and pretty with her long tresses Mariam Dacudao-Chan of Unilever Foodsolutions. And if I may borrow the words of Sharon Castillon, Pearl Farm PR girl: "...wouldn't be an Oktoberfest without the splash flood of beers from San Miguel Beer!"
The party progressed to free henna tattooing by the Davao Artists Foundation. Games, games and more games. SEA Air tickets good for two for the winner and some prizes were also given such as tie dye shawls, overnight stay at the PFBR, salon services, and a lot more.
So my dahlins, what fun it was. Watch out for their Fantasy Masquerade slated next weekend. Tatah. Ciao!
