A difference in views, not a word war: Trinidad
By Raquel C. Bagnol

DAVAO City Councilor Angela Librado-Trinidad said Friday what transpired between her and Task Force Davao (TFD) chief Eduardo del Rosario was not a "word war" as portrayed by the media but a difference in view of public issues.

"The issues started when I stood up at the council and asked about the performance of the TFD. It was an honest question to get answers, nothing personal against del Rosario or the TFD," Trinidad said during Friday's episode of the Talakayan, Balitaan at Kaalaman (Tabak) forum at the Madayaw Ihaw-ihaw and restaurant.

"Wala akong galit sa kay Col. del Rosario at sa TFD, hindi rin ako natuwa sa kanila," Trinidad said.

She said the government is paying for the stay of the TFD in the city, so it is just fitting for the people to know how they are faring and what their performances are towards achieving their purpose of staying here," Trinidad said.

She added that if the purpose of the TFD in Davao City has been achieved, there's no reason for them to stay here.

Trinidad said that she and del Rosario haven't talked with each other but she is not closing the doors on him.

"I would welcome a one-on-one talk with Col. Del Rosario anytime as long as he will not dictate on me to keep silent but the issues we raised were public issues so it is just proper that we discuss them in public," Trinidad said.
