'Amazing 12' in black and white
AMID the heavy downpour that Friday (October 30) evening, the Campus Idols' Amazing 12 came in full force to entertain a sizeable crowd who trooped to Park C of Matina Town Square to join them in a Halloween affair dubbed as "The Black and White Party."
The 12 finalists in the first-ever reality-based search treated invited guests, barkada-club friends, relatives, sponsors, media, and the deans to an unusual challenge -- bar tending in their scary black and white garb.
Of course, it was the night of the Black & White Party where the attire motif was in black and/or white for the audience to gain entrance.
Loyal followers of the search also did not mind the heavy rain just to be in the place to give support to their favorite Campus Idols in a rare Halloween party.
Party band 4Play performed upbeat songs that kept the audience alive.
There was also the axe dance competition. Axe products were given for free to partygoers.
Davao MTV Supahstar finalist Dodong Pasagad also attended the party and plugged his singing contest over MTV (Channel 29 for non-cable and Channel 41 for cable).
At exactly 12 midnight, the Campus Idols Amazing 12 -- Tina, Val, Regs, Micay, Glenn, Evan, Nonoy, Miles, Marty, John, EJ and Yeo -- conquered the catwalk and ramped their way in the Pond's White Fashion Show featuring the all-white collection of Vincent Medel of Curves Couture and Sherwin Magtulis of Traje de Boda.
Glenn Antaran and Micay Mendoza were chosen as the Campus Idols of the Night.
Supporting the party were Greenwich, Blugre, Selecta Ice Cream, and Colt45/Lonestar, which set up their bars to make the event burning.
Indeed, the party presented by All New Close up was very much successful. Special thanks to Axe, Sunslik, Pond's, Matina Town Square, Selecta Ice Cream, Lipton Tea, APM Billboard, Blugre Coffee, Greenwich, Occasions by Al Ryan Alejandre, Sound Chaser, Colt 45 & lone star beer, 95.5 Wrock, UR 97, Danni 101.9.
