Gaisano Cup resumes at SkyGym

SIX games will be played when the 2nd Gaisano South Cup resumes at the SkyGym Saturday.

The Mats College of Technology Navigators will collide with the Davao Merchant Marine Academy (DMMA) in the main match at 7:30 p.m.

Both teams are entered in the college division 1 together with heavy favorite Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders and other contenders Rizal Memorial College (RMC) Bulldogs, Agro-Industrial Foundation College (AIFC) Sailors and Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Blue Knights.

Holy Cross of Sasa (HC-Sasa) and Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) are pitted in the junior division 1 encounter at 6 p.m. of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned cagefest.

The HCSD Reds, coached by Ildefonso Cunanan, has the advantage over HC-Sasa with its seasoned players.

In junior 2-A, Davao Christian High School will clash against Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School at 3 p.m. following two cadet matches.

The HCDC cadet squad will test the mettle of the University of the Immaculate Conception in their 12 noon collision as Stella Maris Academy of Davao (Smad) takes on Ateneo at 1:30 p.m.

Smad and Ateneo are featured in the mini division 10 a.m. opener.

The Assumption School of Davao and Sta. Ana National High School girls teams were playing as of presstime.(MLS)
