Finance man to tackle trends, new business models Nov. 24

IS YOUR business giving you sleepless nights, with cash management an endless struggle? Do you find your business edge disappearing with revenues declining?

Are you planning a new venture, but unsure of its viability in today's volatile times? These and other relevant questions will be discussed by Antonio B. Herbosa, principal of the corporate finance division of the Punongbayan and Araullo accounting firm during a rare presentation in Davao City on Wednesday.

Entitled "The Philippines in Transition: New Business Models and Emerging Trends" will be presented during lunchtime on Wednesday at the Grand Menseng Hotel jointly by six organizations namely the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Ambassadors Club International of Davao, the Rotary Club of Durian City, Rotary Club of Matina Davao and Rotary Club of South Davao.

DCCCI president Sofronio "Boy" Jucutan said Herbosa's talk is specifically relevant for entrepreneurs who are looking for feasible alternatives of their capital and would like to venture into more profitable business activities.

"The forum is aimed at making business practitioners rethink their operating models considering highly relevant and high impact trends that shape the future of the country," Jucutan said.

He said Dabawenyos running their own family business ventures will find the presentation also very useful as Herbosa, a graduate of Wharton business school and Ateneo de Manila, is also expected to touch on "Managing Family Business."

While the forum is considered a joint meeting of the five co-hosting organizations, non-members are also welcome to witness the rare presentation for as long as they pay the minimal charge for the lunch.

Rotarians can also make up on attendance with any of the three co-hosting Rotary clubs.

For confirmation and inquiries, interested parties are advised to contact Herma Joy Herrera or Ana Liza Samorro at 221-7515 or 300-2198.
