Crusaders meet Bulldogs

HEAVY favorite Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders will play against Rizal Memorial Colleges RMC) Bulldogs in Game One of their best-of-three college division 1 finals in the 2nd Gaisano South Cup at the SkyGym on Saturday.

Game time at 6 p.m.

Skipper John Paul Escobal, a runner-up performer in the 2004 adidas Streetball Challenge Asian Finals and a mainstay of the Duterte Agilas basketball team, is expected to lead the Crusaders' campaign in the series.

The 7:30 p.m. main game pits crowd drawer Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings against the Holy Child School of Davao College Reds in college division 2 finals.

Perennial rivals Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) and HCSD Reds clash against each other at 1:30 p.m. in mini event while Davao Wisdom Academy takes on either Maa or Davao Central High School at 3 p.m. in junior division 2.

Assumption will meet Sta. Ana National High School in the girls' finals at 4:30 p.m.

The cagefest is sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) Region 11.
