Teener hacked dead
A 17-YEAR-OLD teenager died while his friend was injured after they were attacked by suspected gang members in Purok 2, Barangay 76-A, Bucana, Davao City, Friday night.
The victim was identified as Bimbo Buhisan while his friend Rommel, 16, both of the same place, is recuperating from a hack wound on his face.
SPO1 Jay Rueben Plaza, investigator of the San Pedro police, said that the group of Buhisan was staying near the sea wall in Purok 2 at around 9 p.m. when another group of youngsters attacked them with an ax and bolo.
Plaza said they are looking into the possibility that getting even with Buhisan's group was the motive of the incident.
"Panimalos nang hitaboa kay few months ago, mga kauban atong mga suspects gipangdunggab anang mga kauban pud yata anang mga biktima karon (Revenge was the reason for that incident because, few months ago, the companions of the suspects were also stabbed by the victims' friends)," Plaza said.
Plaza said they are conducting a follow-up investigation of the incident. (RCO)
