Film festival brings more glitter to 'Pasko Fiesta'
WITNESS the country's brightest stars come down from showbiz firmament as Davao City joins in the grand festival of celebrities in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF)'s Parada sa mga Artista (Parade of Stars) on December 20 at 3 p.m. in the city's major thoroughfares.
Film entries in this year's festival include "Aishite Imasu 1941" (Bas Film), "Spirit of the Glass" (Canary Films), "Enteng Kabisote" (Octo Arts Films), "Lastikman" (Viva Films), "Mano Po 3" (MAQ Films), "Panaghoy sa Suba" (CM Films), "So Happy Together" (Regal Films) and "Sigaw" (Regal Films).
Watch the stars in their grand float parade in the Davao leg of the annual film festival from Victoria Plaza, J.P. Laurel Ave., Sta. Ana Ave., Carpenter, R. Magsaysay Ave., Ponciano Reyes St., Bonifacio St., Bolton St., San Pedro St., Ilustre St. (Gaisano South Citimall), Gen. Luna St., Quirino Ave., Magallanes St., C.M. Recto Ave., Roxas Ave., Quimpo Blvd., Sandawa Ave., Mac Arthur Highway (NCCC Mall), Quimpo Blvd., to SM City Davao.
SM City Davao will host a reception party for the stars right after the parade and a free show for the fans at the Parking D area.
Expected to join the float parade and promote their entries are Kris Aquino, Judy Ann Santos, Raymart Santiago, Rica Peralejo, Marvin Agustin, Dingdong Dantes, Vic Sotto, Kristine Hermosa, Oyo Boy Sotto, Mark Bautista, Sarah Geronimo, Vilma Santos, Christopher de Leon, Cesar Montano, Jacky Woo, Eric Quizon, Richard Gutierrez, Angel Locsin, and Davao's very own Hiyas sa Kadayawan 2002 Julianna Palermo.
The Metro Manila Film Festival entries will be shown in most Davao City cinemas starting December 25, 2004.
The Davao leg of the MMFF is presented by the City Government of Davao and SM City Davao in cooperation with The Marco Polo Hotel Davao, Waterfront Insular Hotel, The Royal Mandaya Hotel, The Apo View, LinMarr Apartelle, Asia Brewery, Inc., Pepsi Cola Products Phils., Inc., Coca Cola Bottlers Phils., Inc., NCCC Mall, Gaisano Mall of Davao, Gaisano South Citimall, Victoria Plaza Mall.
