Police hunt man in Piapi stabbing

POLICE are trying to track down a man who stabbed a trisikad driver twice in Piapi along Quezon Boulevard, Davao City, Monday morning.

Eleazar Gador, investigator of the Sta. Ana Police Precinct said, they still don't know where the suspect has hidden.

Still confined at the Davao Medical Center (DMC) is Areheval Alladin, 21, driver of trisikad, and resident of Purok 13, Kasilak, Bucana in Barangay 76-A, this city.

Gador said the incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. when Alladin was driving his trisikad in Piapi.

The suspect, Gador said, was seated at the rear of Alladin's trisikad while Alladin pedaled on.

Upon arriving at the community basketball court, the suspect stabbed Alladin twice, once in the back and the other on the chest.

"According sa mga nakakita, nakadagan pa daw ang biktima ug gigukod siya pero kalit lang pud niundang ang suspect sa paggukod ug kalit lang nawala (According to witnesses, the victim was able to run away but the suspect chased him. A few minutes later, the suspect just ended the chase and disappeared)," Gador said.

The trisikad, owned by one Enriquita Sarucam, was recovered by PO3 Keram Jaire of the Sta. Ana police precinct.

Police are looking into personal grudge as among the motives of the crime. (JGR)
